Kingdom Clash

Starts Sunday, 5/18/25 at 12:45pm

New afternoon series begins: KINGDOM CLASH – How our views of Christ’s kingdom influence our engagements with culture, politics, and each other.

If someone were to take a poll of Christians in America and ask, “Is the church unified today?”, what do you think the prevailing answer would be?

It’s likely most would answer in the negative, that our churches are more divided than unified. What reasons do you think people would give for that division? Political differences? Red hat vs blue hat? Megachurch vs small church? Homeschooling vs public education?

In Kingdom Clash, Michael Green will suggest the reason for the division among professing Christians is a theological one: how we interpret Revelation 20, the kingdom of Christ. Our beliefs over this kingdom—the nature, the length, and arrival of it—are shaping our interactions with other believers, unbelievers, and the culture, at large.

During this two-week class, Michael will present the three major views on Christ’s kingdom. We’ll look at the distinctions between them and how these differences have divided us on issues such as politics, education, and the nation of Israel. Finally, we’ll discuss how to promote unity among believers while still holding to our theological convictions, using as our example the founder of University Bible Church, Milo Jamison, and a unique friendship of his.
