1 Peter: Living as Elected Exiles on Earth
Join us as we sit at the feet of Peter, the most brash, impulsive, and passionate of men transformed by the resurrection into the bold, wise, and equally passionate Apostle. Pastor Peter, by his life and his letter, showed us how to grow into the persons God intends for us to become–by going beyond “knowing” the right doctrine, by letting the Word of Truth work you over, to eat, drink, and breath it until it becomes part of your substance.
The new Community Bible Study season begins on Tuesday, September 11, from 10:10am – 12:10pm.
All women are invited to participate in this very informative study with other Christian women from the area. This will be UBC’s third year of hosting CBS on our campus, and everyone really enjoyed it last year. The Life Skills ministry will meet on the first Saturday of each month.
We have a number of teachers lined up to instruct and demonstrate some practical life skills each meeting, such as cooking, auto maintenance, bookkeeping, emergency preparedness, nutrition, handiwork and more. We also have some activities for students.
It will be a really wonderful and exciting time of fellowship for families together and for our church family. It is FREE! We do ask that you let us know if you’re interested in attending, because of supplies. If you have any questions, feel free to email Sarah at sarah@universitybiblechurch.com.

Discerning the Voice of God
About this study:
A decade ago, Priscilla Shirer authored Discerning the Voice of God, and since then God has continued to grow, teach, and challenge her in her walk with Him. This revised and expanded edition reflects that growth through new stories, illustrations, and exercises.
This video-based bible study by Pricilla Shirer which will include weekly personal study will assist us in learning how to discover the root to clear and daily communication with God—humble obedience. We will learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in everyday life.
Benefits:
- Challenge yourself in the discipline of daily Bible study.
- Gain practical advice for knowing and understanding God’s voice through His Word.
- Learn to recognize the Holy Spirit’s character, language, and tone of voice.
- Experience a deeper relationship with God, and strengthen your daily walk with Him.
Please join us in the Patio Room right after church for a delicious meal and to hear the compelling testimony of Susan Silver, a Messianic Jew. Free child care and lunch for the children will be provided.
